Hi girls! I recently had the chance to interview Lisa Yee, the author of the Ivy Ling books, and the Kanani Akina books. I had the chance to ask her 3 questions, though. Here they are:
1. Why did you become an author? And When?
Answer: I always wanted to write books, and my dream came true in October 2003.
2. Where did you get the inspiration to write Kanani? Or did you get picked?
Answer: American Girl asked me to write their Girl Of The Year 2011 books, They told me it should take place in Hawaii, but I got to pick where and who she was.
3. Which is your favorite AG doll? Do you have one?
Answer: It would bea tie between Ivy Ling and Kanani Akina- both are dolls from books I wrote!
